Storyboard Text

  • Hello! My name is Leonara Moore. I go to Windsbrook School in Windsbrook County. I have always had a passion for learning, so I love going to school! I like running as well, so I joined the track team as soon as the school year started! This is the story of what happened on the first few track practices...
  • WOOF!
  • We were all ready to run our first race on the fifth practice of the season when under the bleachers, I saw a pair of green eyes! Shaken, I told the other kids during water break what I had seen. And what wonder? They said each of them had seen it once or twice before too! Intrigued, I decided to do some investigation...
  • At 7 o'clock that evening, I brought my mom with me to the track field. I told her the story of the mysterious eyes. Then, as soon as I finished speaking, the eyes emerged from the depths of the bleachers! "There!" I cried to my mother in great excitement. Then, the creature slowly revealed itself...
  • It was nearly there, until.... It was there! And what stood before us was... A PUPPY! We took it home to keep it safe until the morning.
  • The next day, I went to track practice with the newly found puppy and told everyone the story. "Good!" said the coach, "Now that we know the 'monster' that has been terrorizing our students, we can run in peace!" We then laughed until our sides hurt!
  • ARF!
  • When we had all calmed down, the coach spoke up. "Say Leonara," he said, "How would you like to keep the little guy?" I looked up in awe. Would I?! "Of course! I would love to! Thank You!" I exclaimed in my exhilaration! "Hello," I said to the puppy, "I'm going to name you Cheetah, because you're orange and you scared us!" I learned something that day: No pain, no gain!
