  • Heat and pressure
  • How the sun starts up
  • Gravity
  • The sun mainly uses hydrogen to get it to fuse into helium to get the energy it needs to maintain hydro static equallibrum
  • The sun has 109 times larger radius than earth but it also makes up 99.8% of the entire solar system. Also Jupiter makes up almost all the rest and the solar system is a whopping  4.39135416 × 1030 pounds and the sun is 4.40924524 × 1030 pounds
  • The way the sun continues to have hydro static equilibrium
  • Presure is 230 times more great in the core than at sea level on the earth and the heat is about 53,000 times hotter in the core compared to the surface of the earth
  • Not only is it significantly larger than the earth, it is also so hot and the amount of pressure is enormous
  • In the beginning , the sun was just gas, that was continued to be compressed until the sun had enough pressure and heat to create something called nuclear ignition where the sun is able to start expanding because the fusion energy created by fusing elements like hydrogen to helium, is usually equal to than the energy exerted by gravity, therefore having the star's size relatively constant. This is called hydrostatic equilibrium
