Victor Frankenstein creates the creature that he soon finds was a grave mistake, and so he tries to run away from his creation, "Great God! His yellow skin scarcely covered the work of muscles and arteries beneath; his hair was of lustrous black, and flowing; his teeth of pearly whiteness." Victor work so hard on his creation, he worked for nearly two years. Victor stated, "for this I had deprived myself of rest and health."
Victor tries to hide from the creature by going to his hotel thinking the creature would not know were he was, but he was wrong 'cause he was asleep, but then soon, he was woken up by a figure standing over him, "I slept, indeed, but I was disturbed by the wildest dreams. I thought I saw Elizabeth, in the bloom of health, walking in the streets of Ingolstadt."
Victor was awaken by a massive figure standing over him when he woke up from his sleep at first he thought he was dreaming but then when he saw a hand trying to garb him he soon realized it was real so he started to fight and soon after the monster left and Victor found himself alone and miserable.
Victor found himself traveling back to his hometown after a terrible accident with his brother, William. His brother was found murdered in a park in, " Plainpalais." They fond William, "stretched on the grass livid and motionless; the print of the murderer's fingers was on his neck." After, Elizabeth was eager to see the corpse, Victor hesitated, but she persisted. After she examined the body, she stated, "Oh, God! I've murdered my darling child."
Victors brother William was found murdered in the park near his families house so with that, Victor returns home to find that one of the families favorite servants, Justine, was blamed for the murder of William and was sentenced to death. Justine was out the night of his death a market woman asked her, "what she did there, but she looked very strangely and only returned a confused and unintelligilble answer."
Justine was sentenced to death for a murder she did not commit, but it was in fact, the same creature that Victor had created so if Victor told everybody the truth, Justine would still be alive right now. When Justine was called on for her defense, "her countenance had altered. Surprise, horror, and misery were strongly expressed." Justine had many struggles, "her tears, but when she was desired to plead, she collected her powers an spoke in an audible although variable voice.
