Shiloh by Phyllis Naylor project created by Samantha Sharma
Marty was outside by the creek when he spotted something out of the corner of his eye. It was a beagle. Then the dog ran away he thought to himself that dog looks like it has been beat. Shiloh kept following him then Marty's dad made Shiloh go in his truck and drives him back to Judd's house he noticed that Judd kicked Shiloh when he dropped him off at Judd's home.
Marty was by the creek and he spotted Shiloh again and noticed he had been beat so to keep him safe Marty built a pen for Shiloh that nobody knew about because he was afraid Shiloh would be hurt and he cared about Shiloh.
Marty hears Shiloh whimpering outside he goes out side to find Shiloh bleeding on the ground and a German Shepard with blood dripping from it's mouth onto the grass. Marty's dad was furious and immediately took Shiloh to the vet.
Judd comes to Marty's house because he found that the vet had told him that Marty has Shiloh. Marty begged and begged to keep Shiloh. Judd finally said he could keep Shiloh if Marty worked for him for two weeks. Marty gladly accepted and started work, even though he struggled through the work.
Marty finally finished working off Shiloh by doing his chores. Then Judd gave him an old dog collar. Judd had said I know it is not much but is better than that old rope you are using. Marty went home and happily played with Shiloh knowing that he had Shiloh and he did not have to hide him anymore. The Theme is that sometimes things are different then they seem.
