Tupa, a shark, is the ghost of the lagoon and he...
Mako and his grandfather are in the living room and Grandfather teaches Mako about Tupa the shark
...and your father was one of the three people in the canoe that Tupa tipped over and your father died.
Mako gets mad that his father died because of Tupa and says he will kill him and get the reward
The next day Mako's mother tells him to go out and get more bananas and Mako agrees and brings his dog with him
Mako didn't make it home before dark and while he was heading home Tupa came out
Mako had to save his dog Afa from falling in the water again and fight Tupa at the same time
Mako successfully killed the Tupa, headed home, and got his reward the next day.
