  • Meet Day Wake up at 8 A.M.
  • Eat breakfast at 9:30 A.M. Eat pancakes with strawberries on top with bacon and a glass of orange juice. This breakfast has a good balance of simple and complex carbohydrates.
  • Get ready for the meet at 12 P.M. Giving the protein the NTP it needs.
  • Eat pre-game meal at 1 P.M. Eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with grapes and milk. To ensure I eat some carbs, fats, and protein before the meet.
  • At 3 P.M. take a bag of carrots to go on the way to the meet. Carrots are a nice, familiar food to eat right before a meet.
  • Meet starts at 4. Drink water and gatorade during meet to stay hydrated. Drinking gatorade provides electrolytes during an event without having to eat anything and satisfies the NTP for carbohydrates.
