Pearl Harbor is an important event because this day the United was not expecting to be a direct target for an attack. The Japanese sent an army of planes to bomb the Harbor in Hawaii, and even though people saw the planes approaching no one knew that it was the Japanese until it was too late.

D-Day is the day that General Dwight led the United States and the Allies to the invasion of Normandy, France and as they moved Russia was fighting its way to East Germany.

The Holocaust was a very terrifying time period for many Jews. With Hitler in power, he had almost every Jew killed in death camps,were they were starved, worked, or gassed to death. He nearly kill off all of them before he killed himself later on. The events are still talked about to remind us what people are capable of doing and what others have suffered because of others desires.

In the battle of Britain, Hitler sent bombers to destroy the city hoping to be able to destroy also all the moral of the British people.
This event was the United States had defeated the Japanese navy and the United States was able to push the Japanese away.
Here the Russians have finally won their first victory against Germany.
