  • The Boston Massacre
  • Britain thought the Colonists should help pay for the Army, so Britain created the "Quartering Act". The law was passed by the British Parliament.
  • The Boston Tea Party
  • The Stamp Act said that the Colonists would have to pay a tax on everything they needed pr used. A Tax Collector would come around with a sheet of paper taxing things. The Stamp Act was anything made out of paper products.
  • The Intolerable Act
  • The Boston massacre started because the Colonists were mad, so they came to the tax collectors house and started throwing snowballs and rocks. A soldier thought they heard Captain Preston say fore so he fired, and five died and six were injured.
  • The Boston Tea Party started because Britain raised the taxes on tea, and told the Colonists they could only buy tea from the British India Tea Company. So the Colonists dressed up as Indians and threw the shipment of tea into the Boston Harbour. They ended up dumping 90,000 pounds of tea. They didn't want to be violent, so they only destroyed the tea. They ended up breaking one padlock, but they ended up replacing it.
  • Britain kept making unbelievable laws that the Colonists would neither tolerate nor except them . The Boston Port Act closed the harbour so trade ships couldn't come or leave. This started the Continental Congress.
