  • Marie Curie was born on November 7, 1867.  Her family was very poor and could barely afford another child besides her four other siblings.
  • My family is inside making dinner!
  • Curie attended a local school in Warsaw, as well as getting scientific training from her dad at home.  
  • With money from her Sister, Curie moved to Paris to study radiationat Sorbonne University from  1891-1894.  At  Sorbonne, she earned licinceinticateships for Mathematical Science and Physics.
  • When is my interview here going to be done...
  • As a teacher at Sorbonne, Marie kept studying radiation.  She began experimenting with Pitchblende, (Mineral) and eventually made the elements Polonium and Radium.
  • I ha... I mean love all my students!
  • Not only was Marie Curie a scientist, she was a role model for women.  She became the first female teacher at Sorbonne, and first woman to be buried under the famous dome of the Panthéon in Paris.
  • Marie Married Pierre Curie in 1895 and had two daughters.  sadly, due to radiation cancer, Marie later died in 1935.  She had one brother and three sisters, along with a mother and father.  
  • 1867-1934  (you will be remembered)
