The Townshend Acts in 1767 A British Army was kept in the colonies and a law was put on imported goods from Britian. This made Colonists furious because this made many things expensive to the point that they boycotted the goods and the reason for the boycotting was the main reason people moved to colonies, to escape the British's taxes which violated the Colonists rights that could be won possibly by war
The Boston Massacre in 1770 Colonists were mad about the British Parliaments acts and they at British soldiers and they started to hit and throw ice at the soldiers until two soldiers fired and killed five colonists, this was shocking to the Colonists because this took things to a whole another level and was argued if it was self defense or not but the way it was depicted to the Colonists was a massacre which to the colonies was taken as a sort of threat and made it look like without the British there would be mostly peace
The Intolerable Acts 1774 King George lll had thought he could do and make the colonies obey his every command, that was proven wrong run he enforced harsh laws. This led to rebellion. War was necessary becuase Britiain was going out of place by violating the rights of the colonists.
