¨As the bright sun streamed in through the shattered windows, Prudence and May discussed the problem¨(102).
What does that mean?
The book I am reading is The Forbidden Schoolhouse.
Mindset - Takes on Challenges
You can´t just teach these African Americans that come in the state without approval.
Although Prudence had a lot of haters about her school, she ignored all the fuss and continued teaching even if she was breaking the law.
To hold off the the school from staying in business, they threw a brick through the window.
Summary - Cause and Effect & 3-2-1
Because Prudence was determined to keep teaching African Americans, once she died people were inspired by her actions and decided to carry on her fight to teach blacks.
Cause and Effect
I think this word is technical talk about this topic because Prudence Crandall had a husband who never payed any attention to her.
How do you feel about people being inspired by Prudence´s hard work and to have the commitment to keep fighting for blacks receiving proper education?
Concerned on why she couldn´t freely teach African Americans, Prudence decided she was going to teach as long as she possibly could.
I don´t understand why I can´t teach them. These poor children don´t get any proper education around here.
Determination, Never Give Up, Commitment, Inspiration, Inheritance
3 - Keep going no matter what, don´t let the little things get in your way, when people get in your way, move them out of your way. 2 - I disagree with the brick being thrown through the window, and that even after Prudence died, the law that blacks shouldn't get taught still remained. 1 - Why were people so cruel to blacks back then?
