  • The battle of Lexington and Concord took place in Massachusetts April, 1775, and was the first battle of the Revolutionary war.Which the Americans luckily won, Captain John Parker led the Americans and General Gage led the British. A quote of John Parker is "Stand your ground. Don't fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war, let it begin here." 
  • Valley Forge
  • This time the British won, they won against the world's most powerful army. Why this may have occurred is because the Americans were starting to run out of ammunition to attack the British so Colonel William Prescott ordered "Don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes!" In conclusion the Americans lost due to lack of preparation.
  • Charles Town
  • General Horatio Gates led the Americans in this war, and General Burgoyne led the British in this war. This war was also very important during the Revolutionary war because it was the turning point in the war, the war took place in New York on October 1777. The British and his Hessian troops surrendered their arms. This was a crucial victory for the Patriots. A quote from General Horatio Gates is “If Old England is not by this lesson taught humility, then she is an obstinate old slut, bent upon her ruin.”
  • Battle of Yorktown
  • George Washington led Valley Forge on December 19, 1777. Valley forge wasn't so much of a battle, but on the march to Valley Forge the army was short on supplies. Some of the soldiers didn't even have shoes and some only had blankets so cover themselves. After awhile the soldiers grew weak and a quarter  of them died due to malnutrition, exposure to cold, or diseases such as smallpox and typhoid fever. Because of this the name Valley forge came to stand for great hardships that the Americans endured in the Revolutionary War. The leader who led the British is unknown. "I should most certainly see you this Winter if within the compass of human possibility…”Henry Knox to Lucy Knox, Valley Forge, 27 December 1777." which is a quote from this war.
  • The leader of the Americans for this war is unknown and not stated, but the  British leader was General Henry Clinton, this was the Continental Army's worst defeat. How they did it was by trapping American forces in Charleston. This attack took about 3-4 months of planning and strategizing. The actual attack occurred on September in 1706. The exact date of the attack is unknown.  'it is absurd, impolitic, and inhuman to burn a city you mean to occupy." -Henry Clinton
  • The battle of Yorktown happened in Virginia in 1781, the American leader was George Washington and the British leader was Lord Cornwallis. A quote from George Washington is “If freedom of speech is taken away, then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter." This war was also considered one of the major land battles of the American Revolutionary war. The Continental Army led by General George Washington, won a  decisive war against the British Army,
