Farming and Populism Comic
This storyboard does not have a description.
OH HELLO THERE SWEETIE!
MOM! Can you tell me about the populist group that formed in 1892?
Ok. The Populist group was formed by farmers who were in debt by borrowing money from the bank, and their crops weren't getting them enough money to get out of debt
The farmers in debt eventually got tired of being in debt, so they formed the Populist party, and tried to get a new policy to raise crop prices
They also wanted to turn silver into coins, which would cause inflation, which would raise the price of wheat
But, in the Election of 1896, the Populist party lost by half a million votes, which marked the downfall of the Populist party
Ok. Thanks mom!
