Dramatic Irony
Situational Irony:appears between expectations of something to happen, and what actually happens instead,like when Mathilde thought the necklace cost 36,000 franc until, Madame Forstier told her it was fake.
Verbal Irony: Saying or writing one thing but meaning another,like when Mathilde gets the invitation and says it is not useful to her, but it really did.
Dramatic Irony:Irony that is inherent in speeches or a situation of a drama and is understood by the audience but not grasped by the characters in the play. Like when Mathilde started dancing with the other men at the ball.
