Storyboard Text

  • Charlie isn't the smartest person and today he's going to get a surgery to help increase his intellegence. Charlie is confident that the surgery will work because it worked on his mouse friend, Algernon.
  •   It's been a week since Charlie's surgery and he's already noticed a big increase in his intelligence and he started writing a research project for the scientist. Charlie thinks that he is so smart that he starts to think that he is better than all his friends. Even people at Charlie's job signed a form to fire him.
  • Charlie ends up quitting his job and works for the lab people that worked on Charlie's surgery. So he spends more time at the lab to help keep an eye on Algernon. Algernon hasn't been eating or moving a lot lately and this concerns everyone. Since Charlie's intelligence has been decreasing latley Charlie doesn't fully understand whats happening.
  • Charlie is very sad because Algernon died today. Charlie doesn't really feel like doing anything because he fears he will get less intelligent and end up like Algernon. It's been a few days since Algernon's death and Charlie buried him in the backyard.
  • charlie's intelligence has gone down so much in the past week its almost like he never had the surgery. Charlie starts to realize that he cannot read the things he could once read when he was smart. Charlie starts thinking if it would be better to move away from his friends because he thinks that they don't like him anymore because he's not as intelligent as he was two weeks ago.
  • Today Charlie made a big decision to move away from New York because he wants to start over and to be smart again. Everyone is very sad about this decision that he made but he tells them not to worry because there will be plenty of friends that will accept him. He also reminds them to put flowers on Algernon's grave in the backyard. Charlie says his goodbyes then leaves.
