There was no Catholic School in Nathalia so Bishop Stuart wrote to a Bishop in England asking for some help
Some Nuns from the FMDM sisters were asked to travel to Australia and build a school in a little town called Nathalia. There response was" Thy will be done which is our motto
The Nuns traveled all the way from England to get to Australia.
On the 8th of February 1961 the school started with 120 primary and 5 secondary students.
In 1975 the primary moved away and became St Francis next door.
