Storyboard Text

  • Ok so today we will be talking about six major events that happened in our history! Starting with The Middle Ages:
  • The Middle Ages from the 5th to the 15th century.  People would call it the "Dark Ages " or "The Medieval Times." If you were considered a noblemen you were given a piece of land    (Fiefs) and if you owned you own land you were  a Lord so you could make your own laws. Castles were used for protection and to show strength of a Lord. Then there was Serfs who were the poorest in the time, they made up 90% of the population!
  • The Bubonic Plague was a very scary, dark ("The Dark Ages") and dreary time.  People would get sick left and right and there was no professional Doctors like there are today so once they would get sick it would be hard to recover. There are many conspiracies what caused this but no definite answer yet. It's known as a pandemic and was by far the most traumatizing one in history. The most clear reason is from bacteria by spreading through Europe, Asia, and the Middle East killing millions through out.
  • During the Renaissance, it was considered the time of "Rebirth" of the classical education in the Italian City States for example, Florence.  During this time a lot of Art came back to life,   Michelangelo is one of the most famous sculptors of the time, he is known for constructed the Sistine Chapel. Shakespeare  was created and humanism started. The Renaissance is known as "Birth of the Modern World."
  • "Now we have entered the Absolute Monarchs Across Europe!" There were quite a few of leaders across Europe during this time. Some rulers were King William Rufus 1087 to 1100 also King Henry XVI King of France 1589 to 1610. They were the ruler of the country's also known as the King.
  • The Enlightenment Age lasted from late 17th century and 18th century. and was originally in Europe but then traveled to North America later on around the late 17th century. French history historians generally place the peek of the Enlightenment around 1715- 1789 because that's when most of the major events took place.
  • During the "rebirth" of the modern world, science was one of the major events that took part in the rebirth in the beginning of it all. Our modern day math,  and sciences advanced so we have our current day theories and formulas. "The science revolution is when everything in the math and science world advanced us to what we have today."
