Hi! My name I Joan of Arc and this is Domremy-la-Pucelle,France where I was born and raised
Joan of Arc was nicknamed "The Maid of Orleans" she was considered as a heroine of France. She believed that God has chosen her to lead France to victory in it's long running war with England.
After such a miraculous victory Joan's reputation spread far and wide among French forces. She and her followers escorted Charles across enemy territory to Reims, taking towns that resisted by force and enabling his coronation as king Charles Vll. In the spring of 1430 the king ordered Joan to confront a Burgundian assault. In her effort to defend the town and It's inhabitants, she was thrown from her horse and was left outside the town's gates as they closed. The Burgundians took her captive and brought her to the castle of Bouvreuil occupied by the English.
Joan of Arc died by burning. But she was Important, she managed to make the army believe in her and she helped to lead them to victories that lifted the siege. This was a major turning point in the war, by helping to turn the war around.
