Storyboard Text

  • The Beginning Katie didn’t care for looks or weight even though she didn’t look like half of the stick thin girls in her class she cared less until the day society forced her to. Grey skies from the rain was a typical school day. Katie walked to her class with best friend Jessica. Head high in the air with the wind peeking through her hair, she didn’t have a care in the world.
  • The Comback A tiny girl clamored in one space by Abby (one of Katie’s classmates). Abby has her hands smacked on the lockers covering her prey, as Abby whispers “next time don’t be such a perfect little brat”. Then she walks away as if nothing happened. But as she's walking away Katie quickly on her feet stops Abby. “Why don't you pick on someone your own size like that pole over there?” But Abby doesn’t shy away instead she comes back with a snarky comment, “Anything is better than your buffalo body”.
  • The Real Starting of it all While Katie struck the core runs to the bathroom with tears flooding from her eyes. Jessica follows her but fails to catch up before Katie slams the door in her face. Sobbing Katie looks in the mirror and she repeats “I am not fat” “I am not ugly” several times but all she can see now is heavy flesh expanding on her stomach and the spots on her face becoming more prominent than ever.
