Storyboard Text

  • King Laius's son is taken to a forest to be left to die.
  • Oedipus kills Laius, not knowing that he is his father. He does it at a crossroad, and people only know that Laius was killed at one.
  • A blind Prophet, Teiresias, tells Oedipus that Oedipus killed Laius.
  • Oedipus's wife Jocasta tells him that she had a son with Laius who was supposed to kill Laius. They got rid of him though, so how could that be true?
  • The shepherd tell Oedipus that he is the son of Laius and Jocasta.
  • Jocasta figures it out, and kills herself. Oedipus sees her and stabs his eyes out.
