  • Gandhi was thrown off a train because he was Indian even though he had a first class ticket and explained that he was an attorney they still threw him off at the nearest train station (several miles away from where he needed to go) because he wouldn't go to third class to make room for someone who was white
  • Gandhi was arrested on the midnight of May 4th 1930 after he broke the salt laws which inspired millions of Indians into civil disobedience against the British salt laws.
  • Gandhi was tragically assassinated while visiting New Delhi, India on January 30th 1948 by Nathuram Vinayak Godse, a Hindu nationalist upset by Gandhi's tolerance of Muslims.
