- Christopher Columbus was trying to find a shorter route to Asia , but got lost and landed and discovered the Americas.
- 1519 , Pineda
- Pineda was the first person to explore and map the Texas coast.
- 1519 , Cortes
- Cortes was thought as gods by the Aztec, but he conquered them, made Spain rich, and started a gold rush.
- 1526 , Cabeza De Vaca
- Cabeza De Vaca explored Florida, but shipwrecked on Galveston, and was saved, but treated like slaves by the Karawnkawas.
- 1540 , Coronado
- Coronado explored Kansas and The Grand Canyon, but found no gold and thought as failure.
- 1687 , LaSalle
- La Salle was claiming land around the Mississippi River and claiming Texas, but dies and fails.
