- Isaac lived in New York in 1853, but he was fascinated by living in the west. His parents were really strict and boring so he decides to escape

- He decides to run in a night to escape west so he goes to buy supplies he bought a map and a compass and an ax to chop wood.That night he left to go west

- Isaac was worried because he almost reached the rocky mountains and it was getting cold so he begged someone for help but they said no so but he the guy dropped his gun so he got it and hunted an elk to make winter clothes he found a abandoned house so he tries to survive in there for the winter
- im lucky i found this house
- he survived the winter by hunting more elks and he got water by getting the snow and melting it he is again on the trail to California.
- Isaac found gold when he was on the river,he became rich and had a farm.
