Roz sees a peculiar twig. It was moving! Roz soon realized that this was no ordinary stick. It was, in fact, a stick insect! Roz learns that if the stick insect can camouflage to survive, then she can too!
Here, Roz learns the language of the animals by observing then. WHen she first came to the island, Roz heard the chickadees saying "TWEE-tweedle! TWEE-tweedle!" But now, when Roz listened, she heard "Oh what a lovely day it is! Oh what a lovely day it is!"
Now Roz is learning from Pinktail the opossum. She learns that if she pretends to be friendly, then she can make friends! Ad the friends that she makes can help haer live longer and better.
