Assad's police had recently been to Bilal mosque looking for a suspected rebel.
My friends showed up to take me to service. Father was not there to say no, and I hated being left out.
But dad asked me to keep away from mosque for a few more week.
My shoes! Where, where are my shoes?
Out of nowhere, the imam's sermon was interrupted by gunshots. A frenzied stampede for the stairs and doors.
The protagonist's father discovers that the Assad regime's religious police have begun arresting people at the mosque.
Are you okay?
The protagonist respected his father's advice but still wanted to play with his friends.
We decided to go back to the mosque to find more bullet casings which we thought are cool and beautiful.
I bet we can find more ! You know where we could go?
There was the second shooting during prayers at the mosque, the crowd was crowded, and the protagonist was trampled on the foot.
We kept the bulllet casing as a sceret and a game and both of us completely forgot the danger
What took you so long? I was worried!
Although people are not as calm as they were during the first shooting, a kind person helps the protagonist out of danger.
A stranger carried injured me out of the mosque to a tiny park and quickly ran off for his family.
It was the first time the protagonist found a real bullet casing. They began collecting competition because of their curiosity.
The protagonist and his friend cheated uncle in order to continue the game.
Bark's foot, Uncle, ...he hurt it
