  • Assad's police had recently been to Bilal mosque looking for a suspected rebel.
  • My friends showed up to take me to service. Father was not there to say no, and I hated being left out.
  • But dad asked me to keep away from mosque for a few more week.
  • Let's go!
  • My shoes! Where, where are my shoes?
  • Out of nowhere, the imam's sermon was interrupted by gunshots. A frenzied stampede for the stairs and doors.
  • The protagonist's father discovers that the Assad regime's religious police have begun arresting people at the mosque.
  • Are you okay?
  • The protagonist respected his father's advice but still wanted to play with his friends.
  • We decided to go back to the mosque to find more bullet casings which we thought are cool and beautiful.
  • I bet we can find more ! You know where we could go?

  • There was the second shooting during prayers at the mosque, the crowd was crowded, and the protagonist was trampled on the foot.
  • We kept the bulllet casing as a sceret and a game and both of us completely forgot the danger

  • Although people are not as calm as they were during the first shooting, a kind person helps the protagonist out of danger.
  • A stranger carried injured me out of the mosque to a tiny park and quickly ran off for his family.
  • It was the first time the protagonist found a real bullet casing. They began collecting competition because of their curiosity.
  • The protagonist and his friend cheated uncle in order to continue the game.
