The Amazing Lives of Neolithic Nel and Neolithic Nick
Hello! I am Nel, and this is Nick.
Back in paleolithic times, we were nomads. We had to follow our sources of food, which was any animal we could find and kill while hunting. Because of this, we couldn't build permanent shelters for we were always on the move.
When we learned to farm, everybody's lives changed. We had a stable food supply, so the chances of dying of starvation decreased.
The development of farming also gave us the time and food to create cities. This is important because it taught us the value of working together.
When we learned to farm it gave us a lot of extra time, because not all of us had to be farmers in order to get enough food. We could be weavers, potters, you name it. And guess what? we could trade the benefits of our craft to get food so we can eat? So fun!
