Focusing on the theme of being prosecuted for being different, this RPG is about a teenage girl trying to get through another week. But Andrea isn't like all the other students in her school- secretly, she has a crush on another girl, Trix. The player can choose 1 of 2 missions for the game. The first is to try to stay in the closet the whole week, the other is to come out to everybody safely. This is the most prominent feature in the game, because the player has full control over Andrea's life. One wrong move could mean the difference between happiness and misery. There are three main settings: school, home, and church. At each location there will be different choices the player has. For example, at school the player decides whether or not to ask their crush out, how to fend of/avoid bullies, and how to deal with the nosy principal and guidance counselor. After each day, Andrea has dinner with her parents. At that point, the player can choose to come out to them or not. This decision determines the mission and is a huge factor in what ending they get. A key event is on the last day of the week, when Andrea is at church with her parents, her also closeted friend, and her crush. If Andrea hasn't yet come out, Justin gets outed by Father Cornelius, and might be kicked out of church. The player then has to choose whether to defend him, outing herself to her family and crush, or letting him get punished. If Andrea has already come out by that point, then both of them get in trouble, and the player must choose how to act to avoid disaster.
The player progresses through the game by getting through each day. To make decisions, the player clicks on one of the options shown at the bottom of the screen. There are specific instruments or songs that play for every character. For example, Trix might have punk rock music, the bullies might have some very dramatic music that warns of danger, and her parents might have some very basic gentle music, like something you'd hear in a lobby, game menu, or elevator. The church specifically would have gospel music playing in the background, of course, and some more intense choir music when Andrea and/or her friend is outed.
Different endings would also have their own specific song. If Andrea outs herself at church, Take Me To Church (Hozier) would play during the credits. If Andrea comes out and the bullies put her in the hospital, Fighter (Glee) would play. If Andrea come out to her crush by asking her out, but doesn't come out to anyone else, I Wish You Liked Girls (Abbey Glover) would play. If Andrea safely comes out to everybody (the happy ending), Let It Go (Frozen) will play. If Justin takes his own life, Sarcasm will play during that scene, then Say Something (A Great Big World) will end it. If Andrea prevents Justin from doing that, This Is Me (The Greatest Showman) will play. If Andrea stays in the closet to end, Let Her Go (Passenger) will play.
