Storyboard Text

  • I can't see through the blanket
  • Splash
  • The quote that I chose was on line 27 and page 2 and says, "...but it was like trying to see through a blanket."  This is an example of a simile because it is comparing something that includes like or as and in this example it is like. When Rainsford said this he was explaining how dark it is outside.
  • The quote that I chose was on line 10 on page 3 and says, "...the muttering and growling of the sea breaking on a rocky shore." This is an example of personification because it is saying that the sea can growl and mutter. When Rainsford says this he is saying that the sea is very rough because it is loud enough for him to hear.
  • The quote that I chose was on line 6 and 7 on page 5 and said, "It was to a huge,beam-ceilinged bedroom with a canopied bed big enough for six men that Rainsford followed the silent giant." This is an example of imagery  because it is describing something in detail.
