  • We need to gather an army to support the protest against the British
  • The beginning of the Battle

  • You are carrying illegal weapons!
  •   The Boston Tea Party was a political and mercantile protest by the Sons of Liberty which was founded by Sam Adams, in Boston, Massachusetts. The colonists responded by dressing as Indian and dumped tea into the harbor. Sam Adams helped formulate resistance to the Stamp Act and played a vital role in organizing the Boston Tea Party.
  • King George iii, who ruled the British kingdom through some turbulent times including the American Revolutionary War after which the colonies gained independence, want to take control of the colony. In order to take full control of the colonies, the parliament and passed the Intolerable Act which 1. The port of Boston was closed 2. The royal governor could ban town meeting. 3. British officials accused of crimes would stand trial in Britain instead of in Massachusetts. 4. A new Quartering Act. Colonists responded to the Intolerable Act by holding the first Continental Congress, pulling together to support the protests in Massachusetts, stepping up military preparations.
  • Britain responded to the colonists by marching troops to Concord to seize illegal weapons and by engaging the Colonists in battle.
