- My name is Thomas
- Nice to meet ya, shank, Welcome to the Glade.
- I want to be one of those guys that goes out there, inside the Maze.
- Thomas is a kid who has no memories of who he is or where he came from. All he remembers is his name, Thomas. (Dashner 6)
- So he was … bitten? Stung, whatever? Is he going through the Changing?
- After Thomas came out of the box, he was greeted by the Gladers. Only the leader of the Gladers, Alby, actually went up to Thomas to greet him. (Dashner 8)
- I just saw … the dive move you did … back there … gave me an idea … we only have to last … a little while longer.
- After meeting Alby and seeing the runners, Thomas was introduced to Chuck. Thomas confessed to Chuck that he wanted to be a runner (Dashner 35)
- These things may be vicious, but they’re dumb as dirt. Stand here, close to me, facing—
- I know. I’m ready.
- When Thomas heard that Alby had been stung by a Griever, he rushed into the maze when the doors were closing. Here Thomas is asking Minho what has exactly happened to Alby as he doesn't understand how things work yet. (Dashner 103)
- Thomas and Minho have been running away from the Grievers for about 2 hours now and when Minho was watching Thomas, he saw Thomas dive away from the Griever's attack and got an idea. (Dashner 120)
- After a couple more hours of running, the two boys make it to "The Cliff" where they wait for the Grievers to rush them so that they can dodge out of the way and let the Grievers fall off of "The Cliff." (Dashner 121)
