Storyboard Text

  •  Genetic variation in the deer is that some are a tan and others are white. 
  • The deer have offspring some inheriting the white coat and others the tan. 
  • The deer with the white coat are easily spotted so they get picked off by wolves. 
  • Since the deer with tan coats survived the wolves they reproduce and give their genes to their offspring.
  • Now that most of the population have tan coats, the gene pool has changed. More of the deer will now have a tan coat instead of white.
  • That's the cycle for Natural Selection.
