  • These are the five literary archetypes.
  • Hubris
  • Macbeth's first murder of King Duncan was what made everything go downhill. From there on nothing went positively for him.
  • Peripeteia
  • Don't worry, for I have an army of ten thousand strong men.
  • Macbeth felt absolute sorrow for committing murder with his own hands.
  • Nemesis
  • Tell thee, Macduff was from his mother's womb untimely ripp'd.
  • Macbeth's total disregard for natural order, finds him eventually murdering even his closest friend or adversary, thinking it would fix his situation.
  • Here lies Banqou
  • R.I.P
  • Macbeth's reversal of fortune starts when Macduff starts to rise an army, ready to overthrow Macbeth.
  • Due to Peripeteia, Macduff becomes Macbeth's Nemesis, as Macbeth cannot avoid him, or his unstoppable forceful army.
