  • The enlightenment ideas are partially to blame for the uprising of the French Revolution because people began to realize that they were not being treated fairly. Some even thought that changing the government would impove things.
  • Role of Mob Mentality
  • The role of the press was to record events that happened during the revolution. This could have been someone writing a newspaper about the guillotine deaths or about the rise in prices of bread. News spread faster and people became more angry.
  • Women played a major role in the French Revolution. It all started with the high prices of bread. Over 7,000 women of France marched on Versailles to demand justice and rights for women. They made people fear their progress and dedication to the cause.
  • People began watching the beheadings and which lead to a social frenzy about social injustice. People would be peer pressured and it may be fed by fear. This mentality lead to many other problems.
