The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street Theme: Don´t ever think someone did something if you don´t have proof.
No it´s not
Its the boy !!!
It´s not the boy! Its Bob Weaver´s house.
It´s not the boy or Bob Weaver´s house, it´s Don Martins place.
In the teleplay ¨The Monsters are Due on Maple Street¨ one theme that I noticed a lot was ¨don´t ever think someone did something if you don´t have proof.¨ I noticed this in the teleplay because everyone in the the town were blaming the other people in the town that if they were the "monster". When Tommy the boy explained what the light in the sky could have been people wee curious about him and had a bad vibe they thought he was the monster. Another example for the theme is when Mr Goodman tried to start his car it didn't start but when he walked away it just started and everyone thought he was a monster too. This theme is the most reasonable theme for this teleplay. This is why i chose this theme.
Evidence #1: In this scene , the people of the town are blaming the kid because they thought he was the monster because he was the one that explained what the light in the sky could have been.
Evidence #2: In this scene , Bob Weaver´s lights are turning off and on and everyone thinks that a monsters are in his house or they think that Bob Weaver could possibly be the monster.
Evidence #3: In this scene , same thing that happened at Bob Weaver´s house is now happening to Don Martin´s place and the people in the town are going crazy because they don´t know what to do and whats happening. So they keep blaming other people in the town without an explanation or evidence.
