Children's book - Water pollution - By Galathea Nodalo
One evening, John (the man in the red shirt) was walking his dogs in the woods near a lake, with some of his friends. But as John and his friends were walking towards the lake they saw some fish........
But the fish were dead, floating in the water and not only did they see the dead fish they saw bags of garbage and broken glass scattered in the lake. John and his friends were shocked to see all this.
Please recycle your recyclable items in this recycling bin.
The next day John and all of his friends decided to do something about the trash in the lake, by getting big garbage bags and cleaning up the river by picking up all the trash and then recycling the trash.
~~ ~~~~ ~ ~~ ~~~ ~~~
John and his friends put the trash into three separate bags, one for cans/aluminum , one for plastic, and one for the glass from broken beer bottles.
The next day John and one of his friends also decided to put a recycling bin and a sign ,that tells them to please recycle, next to the lake so that when someone visits, they can recycle their trash that they need to throw away.
Now, every now and then John would pick up the recycling bin with it's trash in the bin from visitors. John is proud that the lake is now clean and healthy with many fish. John's and his friends' act to help make the lake clean has gone better than they expected.
