Once long ago there was a man named Daedalus and his son Icarus.
One day, King Minos asked Daedalus to the island of Creet
He had asked Daedalus to build a gaint maze for the Minotar
Deadalus was a skilled inventor.
Daedalus worked hard in the maze and when it was fineshed King Minos was impressed
King Minos rewarded Daedalus and Deadalus and Icarus decided to stay longer on the island
Icarus did not listen to his dad and got close to the sun
The maze was for kids that were brought to the island to get eaten my the Minotaur.
A kid named Theseus ended up killing the Minotaur and escaped the island with all the kids unharmed. By this being, King Minos thought the Daedalus helped the kids escape because he was the one the built the maze, and King Minos punished Daedalus and Icarus.
As their punishment, King Minos kept Daedalus and Icarus as prisiners on the island of Creet. When Daedalus saw the birds, he thought that the wings would help them escape. They gathered up all the bird wings they could find, and Deadalus put them together with wax. When the wings were ready Daedalus told his son not to go to high, or the sun will melt the wax, and not to go to low, or the water will make the wings heavy.
