Storyboard Text

  • The American Revolution was unavoidable! It was bound to happen at some point one way or another.
  • Well, yes I did. The part that most got to me was when he stated, "Gentlemen may cry, Peace, Peace but there is no Peace. The war has actually begun!"
  • John Adams. Did you here Patrick Henry's speech to the colonies?
  • The British started this war when they imposed the sugar act and all the acts after that.
  • Why do we have to buy a stamp every time we buy a newspaper!?
  • So according to Patrick Henry, you believe the war was Inevitable?
  • Well yes George Washington I do. Patrick Henry also states, "But when shall we be stronger? Will it be next week, or next year? Will it be when we are totally disarmed..." What other time would we have stood up for the colonies?
  • I could agree John. When Patrick Henry stated, "There is no retreat but in submissions and slavery!" It reminded me that we fought the war for freedom.
  • Patrick Henry said, "Our brethren are already in the field!"  Proving this fight started long before 'the first shot'.
  • The American revolution was bound to happen if the colonies wanted their freedom. Like Patrick Henry said, "Give me Liberty or give me death!"
