Miles, Mason Mr.Harrison 9/10/18 SLO 1-5 ACTS PRAYER
Adoration: Give God praise and honor for who he is as Lord over all. Helps us trust Him and place Him first in our lives. When we truly love the Lord, we will reverence Him and grow in our relationship to Him. ex: Dear God you are a wonderful and mighty God.
C is for confession: we confess what is not pleasant to recall and we tell God the bad or horrid things we have done. He will listen to us and give us the gift of his word to follow. ex: Dear Lord I have sined horribly please forgive me.
T is for Thanksgiving: We are Thanking God everyday through prayer and asking him to lead us with his word. And lead us away from the devil and bring us to You closer and closer everyday, and we should be Thankful for it. Every day we should thank Him for all that he has given us and appreciate Him Ex:Dear Lord thank you for this precious lif that you have given me and thank you for sending your son down to save us from our sins.
S is for Supplication: We are sharing our requests and wants with God. He will always provide but it may not be just what you asked for. God will answer everyone of requests but it may not be the way you expected to look like or what it would be. ex: Dear Lord please I would like wisdom and all the riches of the world, God will give you all of this in a way that he could give you knowledge by having your future in a good school and becoming a good worker and wealthy.
ACTS: Concentrate, that is, focus on God. The priority is your sanctification, your learning, and your growth in Him. everything is focused on God and yourself, you should say in every prayer a thanks to him and everything in ACTS. Praying is best done in a quiet place, free from distractions. Like, praying in front of the TV with your favorite show on is not a good idea, This disrupts God and keeps you unfocused! · Seek to free your mind of stress, worry, and distractions, so Jesus and God are the only Ones in your mind. This is hard and takes practice, but the more you do it, the better you will become at it.
Acts Prayer: Dear Lord You are wonderful mighty, strong, amazing, wonderful, and a great leader, You have guided us away from sin and into Your Scripture and love. On my behalf of every sinner I ask for forgiveness of my many sins that I know I do and and You know I do. Thank you for being here for me and everyone to talk to you through Your Son Jesus who died on the cross for us and thank you for being our leader everyday. Lord please keep me and everyone safe and secure and for anyone who is sick or hurting please heal them. Amen
