When I woke up and came downstairs, I saw my mom sitting by the fireplace. She was making a nice shirt for me for Thanksgiving. I still couldn't believe that the big feast was today! My mom needed the third composite number inches of string. It took her 5 minutes to sew in 2 inches. It would take her ______________ minutes to make it.
When my dad took the pies out of the oven, I looked at one. 1/8 of it was cherry. 2/4 of it was apple. 2/16 of it was cranberry. 1/4 of it was pear. The other pie was fully pumpkin. I thought for a second. If I ate all the pear and cranberry, how much pie would be left for everyone else? After that we went outside to wait for the rest of the family.
Both of my parents' parents were coming. My aunts and uncles from my dad's and my mom's side were coming. My dad had one sister and my mom had one too. They were both married. I gave my grandparents, aunts, and uncles a hug and we went inside. My mom made me double check that there were _________ seats around the table.
When we got inside we had our turkey an then had the pie. Grandma said that she wanted 3/8 of a cup of sugar on her slice. Our cups only read fourths, wholes, and sixteenths. So I used the__________ measuring cup. After that she decided she wanted 4/16. I took ________ amount of sugar off.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the table, grandpa was eyeing the pie warily." Grandpa," I asked, "do you want some pie?" "Yes please!" said grandpa excitedly,"I'll have 5 3/8 of the pies!" I told him he could have one slice of each pie, then I cut him 2 slices.
Finally, the feast was done and my grandparents, aunts, and uncles went home. After that I brushed my teeth and went to bed.
