Storyboard Text

  • Hey, John! Are you ready to do our report about the Properties of Matter?
  • Hi, Jane! Yes, I am! I think we should start on the temperature!
  • Temperature affects a substance in more ways everyone know.
  • This is called Freezing.
  • For example, water freezes at 0 degree Celsius. Once it freezes, the water turns into ice - the solid form of water.
  • Second, when water is heated at 100 degrees Celsius, it will slowly turn into a vapor. Therefore, water turns to gas.
  • This process is called Evaporation.
  • Also, water is pretty dense. It has a density of 997 kilogram per cubic meter!
  • It's one of the reasons why ships and boats float on water!
  • Water is also amphoteric in nature.
  • Meaning, it can act as both an acid and a base.
  • Yes, John! I can't believe that water can have so many properties! I'm glad we did this report!
  • We finally finished our report about the Properties of Matter! Did you learn many things, Jane?
