Welcome to my comic book strip on how the character Walter Lee Younger has grown in the play A Raisin in the SunCreated by Kelly Garcia, Block 5/6
Prior to receiving the insurance money Walter is mad that mama took some of the insurance money and bought a house without letting him know. He angry thinking that mama ¨butched up [his] dream¨ (1579). Because Walter is thinking this, he not only feels as if his mother never supported his dream of opening a liquor store.
After Walter receives the insurance money, he is overjoyed as he can now invest it in the liquor store. The audience sees this when he starts to ¨mingle [in] joy and desperation¨(1585). In acting this way Walter is showing clear signs of being happy towards receiving the rest of the insurance money.
