- Manors are larger pieces of land that were used for farming and inside manors are some small villages. Knights were in charge of these manors and would make sure that everything is good
- Knights where killed soldiers that fought in wars for the king.The knights would also recollect taxes and give it to the nobles and finally they will offer protection to the peasants and serf that worked on the manor as farmers
- Peasants were farmers, they worked on manors. In return for working on the land the peasants would pay taxes to the knights. And peasants were free to move to other manors.
- Serfs were basically peasants but they were tied to the land that they lived and worked on. They weren’t able to move to other manors. To get married they need to ask for permission.
- Now here is a question to you, what was the advantages and disadvantages of feudalism?
- The advantages was that all was more organized, and each one have a roll to help sustain the society.
- The disadvantages was that there was a huge inequalities between each level
