In 1791, King Louis XVI left Paris secretly.The assembly and their supporters now for sure considered him a traitor to France.He eventually was convicted treason. A Small amount of people wanted him to get beheaded. He was beheaded in front of a good size crowd with the guillotine.
After the king dies a new leader Robespierre came along and he wanted to get rid of anyone who did not go along with the revolutionary government. By wanting this that meant guillotine. He was known to kill hundreds a week, this became the Reign of Terror.
On July 27,1793, Robespierre was chosen to the Committee of Public Safety. This was developed in April, the purpose of this was to protect France from enemies and also to supervise the government.

By July 1794 so many people involved with the revolution started to go against Robespierre. Robespierre tried to shoot himself. He was then carried to the guillotine. After his death the terror was officially over.
Napoleon a very smart military genius around the beginning of the nineteenth century he became a soldier for France. He was very good at organizing battles and planning. At one point he came to realize he knew more than the commanders. In 1799 he was appointed to head the government during a period called the unrest.He gained many new lands after many wins of many wars he set up.
Napoleon was sent to St.Helena, once he got there he was warned to never return again. There on that island is where he died in 1821. Many people were sad some were not. Some thought he cared more for himself not for France but others just believed how smart, generous and brave he was.
