  • The original U.S Constitution, an agreement between the 13 colonies of the United States that served as the first constitution.  
  • The Great Compromise and the 3/5 Compromise
  • Daniel Shays led four thousand rebels in a protest against perceived economic and civil rights injustices.
  • Virginia and New Jersey Plan
  • The Constitutional Convention was held May- September 1787 in Philadelphia and Virginia. They where delegates from each state and they met to fix the Articles of Confederation. 
  • Ratification Of the Constitution 
  • The Great Compromise: an agreement that large and small states reached, each state is equally represented. The 3/5 Compromise: Counting slaves towards population in regards to representation in the house of representatives.  
  • Virginia's plan: To have a bicameral legislative branch New Jerseys plan: For each state to have one vote in congress instead of votes based on population.
  • On December 7, 1787, by a unanimous vote of 30-0 the constitution was ratified.
