Along the way while we stopped at different cities in the Sahara, we gave gold to the sick or the poor. Some may say that we rained that city in gold.
We have finally reached Cairo where Mansa Musa had to be convinced to meet the Emperor of Egypt because he did not want to kiss the Emperor's hand and the ground. He also said that he was only there for the pilgrimage.
We are in the market in Cairo. Mansa Musa will be in the markets in Cairo for many months buying resources and goods. We will also be giving gifts or gold to the sick and the poor.
Attention: Thank you Mansa Musa for coming to Cairo and buying goods in the markets and giving money to the sick and the poor, but you have depressed the value of gold. (Gold did not increase its value for 12 years.)
After Mansa Musa's hajj, it made its mark in showing how powerful and rich he is. The Europeans made a map. The way that they drew Mansa Musa was in a way to show respect, how powerful, and how rich he is. They drew him with a gold crown, and gold coin, and a scepter. This could be good news for the Europeans but bad news for us. We will see in the years to come and I will fight for Mansa Musa as one of his soldiers.
