Storyboard Text

  • Hello class! Today we will learn the last topic about WWII, the effects, and how it changed the world.
  • Okay, but what is to learn? Why is it important?
  • Hm i know this topic already.
  • Well, first of all, WWII helped us create more technological advancements that we now use in our day to day lives. But sadly, it brought upon great destruction to countries like Germany and Japan.
  • ohhh i see
  • So then how did the world change?
  • The world changed because after World War Two, Cold Wars started to occur,  and basically, tensions rose between the US & USSR due to the use of the atomic bomb. A crisis in Berlin also arose in response to the aftermath of WWII as well.
  • Along with the development of nuclear weapons in several countries after WWII, the Berlin Crisis, there was a prelude to a Korean war. IN which the Korea was divided at the 38th Parallel, North (supported by SU) and South Korea (supported by US). The United Satest was scared for communism to spread. Also, Eisenhower won the 1952 presidential election and favored stockpiling nuclear weapons and also did the Eisenhower Doctrine. Overall, WWII had a mainly negative effect but with positives throughout the period as well, helped shape the world that we live in today.
