Is a poor diet the only reason for unhealthy bodies or does how much physical activity you do a day have a part to play in today’s obese society and to tell us what harm it causes to our body.
Two people with the same age and weight participate in a two-month experiment to see if not doing daily exercise effects the bodies general health or if it has no effect and stays the same.
The first boy (Angus) will do two hours of sport a day and the second boy (Keiran) will not do any exercise a day and just relax but he will still walk around and go outside.
every second week they go to the doctor and get their weight, height, body mass index, blood pressure and skin fat percentage checked and compare their previous results on a graph to show the difference.
The 2 boys will eat 3 meals a day and will have a breakfast of either toast, cereal, yogurt and oats. A sandwich of choice with a glass of milk, and for dinner a home-baked meal with either roast beef, pork or lamb with vegetables but they are allowed to have takeaway once a week on Friday.
The theory is, that the first boy(Angus) will lose fat and gain muscle which would mean he gains muscle mass so he would gain a little weight or stay the same and the second boy(Keiran) would lose muscle mass and gain fat mass which would mean he would lose a little weight or gain a lot, as muscle weighs more than fat
