  • Background:James Acton a 7th grader trying out for football. all student athletes are required to take a drug test at the beginning of the season. But James's Parents refused for him to get tested because they said "There is no evidence that he has used drugs or alcohol" 
  • Ruling:The Supreme Court Ruled that schools must balance students rights, in privacy against the need to make school campuses safe and keep students away from drugs. But the  Justice said that athletes have fewer privacy rights and MUST follow rules
  • Impact:As in favor of school rulings that school polices requiring random drug testing for All extracurricular activities.
