  • On January 30 police raided the home of 35-year old Army veteran Claudio Chavez. Law enforcement seized countless amounts of heroin, fentanyl, and methadone along with 18 guns and over $11,000 in cash.
  • Alex Bregman apologized for the Astros sign-stealing scheme from their 2017 World Series Championship season. Bregman's apology did not resonate with fans as he didn't say what he was sorry for and only spoke for 30 seconds.
  • The University of New Mexico announced the launch of "The Lobo First-Year Promise", which is a scholarship that will pay tuition and fees for free of a student so long as their family makes less than $50,000.
