Charlie shot Pete Van Horn while Woman 1 screamed "You killed him Charlie! You shot him dead."
It was Tommy! How else would he know about all of this!
Everyone started to get tense and started to shout accusations at each other
Let them destroy themselves
The first scene proves my theme because Charlie killed Pete Van Horn because he feared he was an alien coming to get them. Even Though Steve tried to get Charlie to see reason, Charlie's fear and suspicion got in the way of him being able to be rational. The second scene shows suspicion because the man was suspicious of Tommy because he predicted that there were aliens among them. The man's suspicion of Tommy caused a stampede of people to chase after Tommy and his mom even though Tommy was just a little boy and his mother was friends with most of those who were chasing them. The last scene is of the two aliens who had been running tests on humans and the results had all been the same, the people destroyed themselves running around blindly, pointing their fingers at each other. In conclusion, the people of the neighborhood ended up doing more harm than good because they couldn't pull themselves together and figure out what was really happening.
